Trade Missions
Chamber of Commerce organise a programme of trade missions to around 30 markets worldwide each year.
What is a trade mission/export explorer? A trade mission is a group of businesses visiting an overseas market together. Chamber of Commerce trade missions include businesses across a variety of sectors. The majority of delegates on a mission will be visiting the market for the first or second time although others have greater experience of the market. Many companies find that they can achieve more on a mission than they would ordinarily be able to do on their own.
What are the benefits of travelling with a Chamber trade mission/export explorer? Companies on a trade mission benefit from:
* Help in making and meeting contacts * Support from the British Embassy/High Commission(s) in addition to an experienced Chamber mission manager * Official receptions and networking opportunities with local companies in the market and amongst trade mission members * Reduced costs through group travel arrangements and a travel grant from UK Trade & Investment * Increased profile and reputation in the market through being involved in an official trade mission and as a result of the group publicity
